🏛 Admission to B. Arch through NATA/JEE/ COMEDK (NATA is Compulsory)

  1. Weightage for Rank List
  • Architectural Aptitude – NATA: 50% of the marks scored in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture.
  • Qualifying Examination: 50% of the marks scoreasd in the academic qualifying examination (2nd PUC/10+2 or 10+3 Diploma)
  • The final rank list is prepared by combining these two components equally (50:50)
  1. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy one of the following:

  • 10+2 / 2nd PUC (Higher Secondary) with Mathematics as a compulsory subject, plus other subjects.
  • 10+3 Diploma recognized by the Central/State Government, with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates of Karnataka).

👉Mathematics is mandatory in all cases. 👉 Minimum aggregate requirement ensures academic readiness for architecture studies.

  1. Mandatory Aptitude Test
  • All candidates must appear for the NATA exam, conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA).
  • NATA evaluates drawing skills, aesthetic sensitivity, logical reasoning, and architectural aptitude — essential for success in B.Arch.
  1. Application & Registration
  • Candidates seeking admission under COMED‑K must register online via the official COMED‑K website.
  • Registration involves filling out forms, uploading documents, and paying the application fee.
  • After registration, candidates must regularly check announcements on the COMED‑K portal for counselling schedules, rank lists, and seat allotment updates.
  1. Important Note
  • Unlike engineering (B.E./B.Tech) admissions, COMED‑K does not conduct a separate entrance test for B.Arch.
  • Admission is solely based on NATA scores + qualifying exam marks.
  • This rule is consistent with the Council of Architecture’s guidelines, ensuring uniformity across India.
  1. Counselling & Seat Allotment
  • After rank lists are published, candidates participate in COMED‑K’s online counselling process.
  • Seats are allotted based on:
    • Rank position (NATA + qualifying exam weightage).
    • Candidate preferences (college choice).
